"I wasn't sure if [Acta] was going to have the sign on again or not. When he took it off, I told myself to really stay aggressive. With them thinking I was still bunting, he just wanted to get a good pitch on me. I got a good one right there and hit the ball."

Nationals 8, Braves 4: Sorry, Bobby, you had a lot more than one bad inning! Six in a row, but who's counting?
Nats sweep lowly Braves, keep NL East title hopes alive (24 games out, Elimination number still at 2).
Winning is great and all, but it sounds like someone didn't get the Stephen Strasburg memo (thankfully, the Mariners keep winning, too):
"It's also great because we are doing it at home. It has been a long season for our fans. They deserve to see our club win here. It's always nice to come to the ballpark and go home after a win." (Manny Acta, via Nationals dot com, 8/31/2008)

You can't call yourself a true fan if you want the Nationals to lose games. Real fans root their team on to victory; win or lose, you cheer. You aren't a true fan.

Can't argue with you, John. We want Strasburg.

I was given a "Kick Ass Blogger" award and with that title am allowed to name 5 more recipients. Congrats, Nats Enquirer, I named your blog among the 5 winners (not that my awards matter in the grand scheme of things, but know that you are very appreciated).
