150-1, Baby! Things are looking up!
Back on October 30th, certified Nats-hater Dan "I hate the Nationals" Steinberg (not surprisingly on the payroll of the Washington "We hate the Nationals" Post) reported that internet sportsbook BetUs.com had set the Nationals' odds for winning the 2009 World Series at a staggering 300-1.
300-1!
But now, further proof that The Plan is working: According to TheSpread.com, internet sportsbook Sportsbook.com has released odds for winning the 2009 World Series...and the Nationals odds of winning the World Series have improved! Oddsmakers from Sportsbook.com have set the Nationals odds at 150-1.
150-1!
Memo to Ted Lerner and Family: you might want to reconsider that $16,000 you donated to Mayor Fenty's campaign (afterall, he voted against the public financing of the stadium you refused to pay rent on last summer), and plow it all back into a bet on your "product" winning the World Series. Come on! You've gotta love those odds!
Anyway, here's the complete list of 2009 WS odds to win via TheSpread.com - should make you glad you're not a Pirates or Padres fan...
