Trust your gut, Dmitri!
Washington Times' Mark Zuckerman catches up with Da Meat Shake Hook in this morning's paper. Judging by Dmitri's comments in the story, he's clearly getting the cold shoulder from his employer. For example, there's this:
Trust your gut, Dmitri; you're on to something there (then again, that gut feeling could just be last night's dinner still working its way through your digestive tract.). Gee, do you think Jim Bowden's secret handshake agreement, which left the Nats with no choice but to add Young to the 40-man roster before Opening Day might have something to do with the hard feelings? And then there's that little $10M/2yr. deal still being paid out? Thanks, Jimbo!
Still, it's hard not to feel bad for the big lug, currently in exile working his way back in Harrisburg. From Zuckerman's piece, it sounds like Mike Rizzo and Stan Kasten aren't doing a good job communicating their plan (lowercase) -- nobody can say if, or when, Da Meat Hook will make his triumphant return to the majors in a Nats uni, let alone where his next rehab stop will be. More from the story:
Best of luck, Dmitri. Hope we see get to see you at Nationals Park at least one more time.
