"When you get a switch-hitting catcher who has a chance to be an everyday big league player...those kind of guys don't come along every day. We're thrilled about that."

Youth Movement Continues for NAAAtionals.
4 Venezuelan teens and 1 Venezuelan Little League Team inked to contracts.
Everybody's talking about 17 year old Sandy Leon, but don't forget about 7 year old Jesus Sanchez (above, second from left)!
"[Jesus Sanchez] is [a] very tools-oriented player. He is [more] kind of an unpolished gem than Sandy or Adrian, but he has a very high ceiling, probably as high of a ceiling as any [of the Little Leaguers]. [He] has an above-average throwing arm and he really has long strides in center field. He swings the bat well. [He loves Spongebob.] We just have to clean him up a little bit. What he needs now is strength [and sometimes an afternoon nap] like most 7-year-olds." (Mike Rizzo, via The Nationals Enquirer, 01/18/2007)
