"The fact is, he's going to hit around .300. That's what he's done his whole career. He's going to continue to have good at-bats. I really believe the reason he struggled earlier was because his Achilles wasn't 100 percent."

Da Meat Hook is trade bait: who's gonna bite?
Based on nothing but a gut feeling, we're putting our money squarely on the White Sox: pathetic offense (that's right, worse than the NAAAts in runs and just about every other important category), imploding bullpen, and desperate to get back into the race in the AL Central, it's a perfect match.
Note to Jim Bowden: Get on the phone with Ken Williams and offer Young AND the Chief to the Chi Sox for prospects...Next question: what sort of prospects would be realistic to expect in return?

Evidently the Sox lack any depth in pitching the minor leagues, to the point they are considering trading Buehrle and Dye to rebuild on the fly.
Doesn't seem like a good fit unless we're willing to take position players, or get involved in some three-way action...

The White Sox have Zach Day in their bull pen. They don't have anything to trade, and wont be in the race in a few weeks.
The Angels need bats, and have arms to trade.

Ok, ok, you're both piling on. Clearly this White Sox thing was about as likely (and as dumb) as the Richard Simmons post last week.
Anyway, Jim, your Zach Day comment nearly made me consider retiring from the blog game. I feel...ashamed...
