"I've been working on myself a long time...I finally found a breakthrough, and from now on, everybody gets a chance to really see [what] the real Elijah Dukes is like."

The much anticipated arrival of The New and Improved, Real Elijah Dukes at Nats' Camp.
By all accounts, he said all the right things; Nationals Journal called his opening press conference "Impressive." Lovero, "thoughtful."
But how will Dukes, facing a logjam in the OF and most likely limited playing time, respond to riding the pine? Will he even be given the opportunity to live up to his monster potential (and we mean 'monster' in the best sense of the word here)? Can the Real Elijah Dukes stay out of trouble?

Isn't that a picture of Terrell Owens?
Would you state how much you've improved yourself in a press conference while wearing a pirate (hooker) t-shirt? Me neither.

The t-shirt was an interesting fashion statement... Maybe I'm completely gullible, but watching the video of the press conference over at Washington Post dot com has me convinced that he's recognized the need to change his ways...I think the biggest issue is going to be playing time -- The Riding Pine Effect on a young guy like this.
