"We had to work a couple Houdinis out there. How we did it, I don't know."
(Manny Acta, via Washington Times, 8/27/2008)
Nationals 2, Dodgers 1: Who needs offense? Bullpen, Zim's glove, bail out Balester, Nats.

- Rinse, wash, repeat: Kearns to the DL (see you in 2009). Dukes back up!
- No, he's not coming out of retirement, but Chris Needham asks you to participate in the TangoTiger fan survey to evaluate defensive performance. Haven't filled our out yet, but will be doing it soon. Next question: when are you coming back, Chris?

- Hey, instant replay! It's about time. Bill Ladson and Chico Harlan get reactions from the Nationals. Jim Bowden's answer to the question "What do you think?" sounds he's in ass-kissing overdrive: "I've always been a big supporter of instant replay. I think Major League Baseball and the umpires association have done a tremendous job putting together a good plan to make it work and be successful..."
