"I've had that situation before and didn't get the job done. Coming in there with the bases loaded, the game's on the line right there, and you've got to get that guy out somehow."

Nationals 5, Dodgers 4: Hey! They've got a closer! Zim goes long for the first time in years, Nats hold on against the dead-ass Dodgers.
Meanwhile...
- The Fire Lenny Harris!!11! chorus will be singing a little louder at the news that the Nats have added...a hitting coach. Welcome, Rick Eckstein.
- A big thank you to our Corporate Sponsors who will remain nameless for now for hooking us up with great seats (six rows from the field!) to last night's game in Sec 128. Big difference from our usual perch in the nosebleeds.
- Just Jimbo being Jimbo (via Chico Harlan, Nationals Journal, pregame): "Also, I just got off the field, where a gang of reporters nearly confused Jim Bowden with Manny Ramirez. Bowden wore long, thick dreadlocks -- a la Manny -- underneath a Nationals cap. Plenty can be said of Bowden, but don't call him boring." Yes, plenty can be said of Bowden. Didn't anyone get a picture of this!?
