"I can sit here with a straight face, and say this is where I wanted to be."
(Adam Dunn, via Nationals Journal, 2/12/2009)
Nationals Fans: Let's rejoice and give thanks once again that the economy is in the tank!
It's okay Adam, you don't need to say that... we understand.
Nats introduce #32, and although some reports say Dunn is a sure thing in LF, Washington Times' Ben Goessling reports that the skipper won't commit to anything right now:
Manny Acta wasn't biting on where Dunn will play, only saying that the left-hander will get time at both first base and left field during spring training and that the Nationals will make a decision on his permanent spot toward the end of camp.
Guess it all depends on NJ's health; or if NJ gets dealt.
Quick, before we forget: someone break out the StanSpeak Translator and see what happens if you run Adam Dunn's introductory remarks on through it!

What the hell did you expect him to say?

Oh, I don't know, something more along the lines of "I can sit here with a straight face, and say this is the last place in the world I wanted to be."?
Of course he's going to put a happy face on things - we get that. But, we like to poke fun around here from time to time, you should stop by more often...and lighten up.
