Wilkie is back!
Brad Wilkerson left the Boston Red Sox several days ago, but remained the property of the team. Now, according to unnamed sources with no knowledge of the situation, the Washington Nationals have traded minor league prospect Ross Detwiler to the Red Sox for Wilkerson, returning the one-time fan favorite to DC. Sources with Chevy Chase Bank are reportedly "ecstatic" to have their spokesman back in town. Stan Kasten unavailable for comment.

Dammit I saw that headline in my Nats RSS feed and nearly had a stroke before I remembered it was the Nationals Enquirer. Sources with no knowledge of the situation would like to thank you for almost ruining my morning.
Its kind of scary but that kind of stuff might just be possible with this organization...

Say it's so! The Nats as currently configured have too many players who can hit above .210 and aren't chronically injured due to steroid withdrawal.
You know that one poster at Nats Journal actually pined for such a move last week?

What's a step above "I threw up in my mouth a little?"
Well that's what happened to me when I read this. I didn't believe the Gmail auto-response gag, but yet I believed this!
Then I realized Trader Jim / Jimmy Hairdo is gone, I relaxed, I breathed again. I repeated "Everything is going to be ok" twelve times, and life is back to normal.

@L Street: I must've missed that -- someone really floated a Detwiler-for-Wilkerson move!?
@cks: that's the desired effect! We're here to misinform, terrify, and sicken our readers.
