Orioles 4, Nationals 2: Well, we haven't seen that before! Round 1 of The Battle of the Beltwayzzzzz 2009 is for the Birds.

Solid start for Jordan Zimmermann. And ignoring Wells' 12th for a moment, some encouraging signs from the 'pen: three scoreless from Ron Villone, Jason Bergmann, and Joe Beimel.

The Nats have few chips to move. Nick Johnson and Austin Kearns should get action, although there has been little thus far. Boston wants to wait on David Ortiz and tabled a proposal of Johnson for Manny Delcarmen.
