(Photo of TV/MASN by Nationals Enqurier Staff. It took a wall-crashing, game-saving catch by Elijah Dukes on a David Wright liner with 2 on and 2 out in the 9th to seal the deal.)
"That's definitely a Web Gem. Definitely."

Wow! What a catch by Dukes!
Always humble, Elijah expected to see himself honored with a Web Gem for the effort. Baseball Tonight didn't let him down: He made the cut (#2).
Nats 4, Mets 3: Great catch and all by Dukes, but it took lousy defense by the Mets middle-infield combo of Anderson Hernandez and Luis Castillo to throw away the game in the 8th with consecutive throwing errors on (potentially inning-ending) double play chances.
Hat tip, and goggle tap, to Tyler Clippard: he didn't make it easy on himself, but got the W for the effort.
Natinals go for series sweep in home finale this afternoon at 4:30. John Lannan and his facial-hair experiement takes on Tim Redding and his giant beard.

Jews, Christians and even Muslims believe in Elijah’s prophecy and I, El Rey, believe in his prophecy. Let’s hope Dukes sends less time procreating and more time perfecting his abundant baseball potential. What a catch.

Mets are biginning to look just like the masterpiece Omar Mineya created with the Nationals. Mets fans, in the fine tradition of FJB, I hope you've got an FOM web site up and running. Great to see the Nats finally get one when the other team pulled off a Nationalsesque collapse. ETB!

Of course, it seemed perfectly fitting that the Nationalsesque collapse in the 8th was started by our old buddy Anderson Hernandez.

Absolutely a fitting symetry of the bad!
