(Photo by Reuters. Yes, Sir Sidney is available. It could come to that.)
Is Odalis Perez available?
How about Pedro Astacio?
Scratch two more names off the wish list:
Jon Garland to San Diego. Ben Sheets to Oakland.
The list of options to "upgrade" the Nats' 2010 rotation keeps getting shorter by the day. So, why not just get it over with and announce the inevitable signing of big fat Livan Hernandez immediately? Who knows, maybe Mark Lerner will officially announce the Livo signing during his "live" online chat on Nationals.com tomorrow at 1PM?
Who's left? Smoltz? Washburn? Wang? (we'll ignore the "scoop" delivered to our email inbox that the Nats were talking to Pedro Martinez.)
