(Photo by Nick Wass/AP. Frank Robinson has been in virtual exile from NatsTown since being shown the door at the end of the 2006 season.)
It's about time!
According to anonymous sources with no knowledge of the situation, Stan Kasten has extended a personal invitation to Frank Robinson to throw out the first pitch at Nationals Park on Saturday, May 15th, capping off "Frank Robinson Day" pregame festivities at Nationals Park in honor of the former Nationals skipper.
The Nationals play on the road in Colorado that day.
Back in the day, the Nationals extended a similar invitation to Robinson tentatively scheduled for May 20th, 2007 at RFK Stadium, but the Hall of Famer refused after a series of public spats with Stan Kasten and Jim Bowden.
"I don’t feel like this organization has extended an open arms welcome to me even though they said they want to honor me. It doesn’t make me feel like it would be pleasant to have me around for a day."

And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

All systems go for the People's Champion, Mark Zuckerman, to continue his coverage through the 2010 season. This is fantastic news. Now, get over there and subscribe!

DC Sports Bog on the Nats chances of winning the World Series in 2010. It's not looking good, huh? BoDog.com set the Nats odds of reaching the World Series at 75-1, longest in the majors.

Unfortunately, Bill Ladson wasn't pulling an April Fool's Day prank on NatsTown when he Tweeted about the state of the Nationals' RF platoon:
@ washingnats Willy Taveras is expected to be the right-field platoon with Willie Harris.

FJB calls the Taveras decision "inexcusable". Nats News Network reacts with disbelief.

Alex - I'll take "who was the last Nats manager not to lose 100 games" for $1,000. Ooh - the daily double!
