What a Difference a Day Makes
From our vantage point on the couch this evening, it looks like there's maybe a little more than 1/3 of last night's 40,315 fans in attendance for The Strasmas Hangover tonight at Nationals Park. We're guessing 13,500 warm bodies (not counting groundscrew, ushers, players, etc.), maybe. Hard to say for sure though, just based on TV shots.
And yes, we recognize that we're personally responsible for 2/40,315 of the problem. Nationals Enquirer staff opted to stay home and enjoy this one on MASN. On a related note: after record-shattering numbers for the Strasmas broadcast yesterday, it'll be interesting to see what kind of numbers MASN gets for tonight's game. Maybe a 0.90?
*Update! Around 9:20 PM Wednesday, @ AdamKilgoreWP Tweets a paid attendance figure of 18,876. So, to be precise, the headline of this post should read:
For his next miracle, Baseball Jesus turns 40,315 disciples into 21,439 empty blue seats
