"We'll come in and watch our film, [but] everybody in America has scouted him as much as he's been on TV. They're a team that's struggling right now. Hopefully we can get his pitch count up and get into the bullpen early."
(Chipper Jones, via Atlanta Journal Constitution, 6/27/2010)"To be honest with you, it's just another game, another pitcher."

All I want for Strasmas is to hit the fast-forward button to 2011...
...and a win tonight against the Braves would be nice, too.
Big test for Baseball Jesus against Atlanta, as MASN's Ben Goessling reminds us:These Braves aren't the Pirates, Indians, White Sox, or Royals.
But Strasburg-Heyward I might have to wait: Jason Heyward faking this little thumb injury in hopes of missing a showdown with Baseball Jesus? MRI scheduled today for Heyward.
Meanwhile, Stan Kasten fed the Stephen Strasburg Hype Machine in an interview with MLB.com's Bill Ladson over the weekend. Here's Stan answering a question about Strasburg as franchise Savior:
"I think you are going overboard. Baseball is not that way. Baseball takes 25 guys, and it take 200 guys in the Minor Leagues to get your 25 guys. One player doesn't push you over the top. I often make the comparison, if you are in the NBA, and you draft Kobe Bryant, you draft Shaquille O'Neal, you draft LeBron James, then you are going to the Finals. That doesn't happen in baseball. It takes 25 guys [to win the World Series]."
(Stan Kasten, via Nationals.com, 6/27/2010)
So true, Stan. So true.

All I want for Strasmas is his suddenly inept as last year team doesn't sabotage his start with errors and base running blunders.
