And so, the final three home games of the 2010 season are upon us, and naturally the Phillies are coming to town, just one game shy of clinchng the NL East. Obviously, they've got a pretty good chance of winning at least one against the Nats, or being in D.C. when the Braves lose one. Chances are, the Phillies will clinch the NL East at Nationals Park, and will dump beer all over each other in the visiting clubhouse at Nationals Park.
That sucks, but it seems perfectly fitting, given the way the season started around here. MLB.com is even predicting another fan invasion from the North for Monday night:
Nationals Park is expected to become a colony of Citizens Bank Park on Monday night, jammed with commuting Philadelphia fans on hand to see the Phillies try to clinch their fourth consecutive National League East title.

*sigh* Okay, bring it on. Fair game. It's not like many Nationals fans will be in attendance anyway. And best of all, Monday night is Team Poster/Early Bird Schedule Night! The first 20,000 fans to attend Monday’s game will receive a team poster and an early bird schedule courtesy of the Nationals. In other words: ~15,000 Phillies fans will be making the 3 hour drive back to Philly Monday night with a Nationals team photo to vomit all over.
Well, maybe John Lannan can break Chase Utley's hand again or something, just to make it worth our time. Or maybe the Nats can pull off a sweep, and the Braves can sweep the Marlins, leaving the Phillies to do their clinching in Atlanta next weekend. Wishful thinking.
This much we know: 2012 will be a good year to be a citizen of NatsTown.
