(Goodbye, ugly block font! Goodbye, interlocking "DC". Farewell, gold. The Nationals new 2011 home jersey. Photo by Dan Steinberg via Twitter.)
Put down your barf bags, NatsTown: They didn't screw it up. The ugly block letters are gone; same goes for the interlocking "DC" and beveled numbers. Gold: Gone. Same goes for the word: "Nationals", replaced by a curly W on the left breast.
And so, the Nationals new home jerseys have been revealed at a fashion show attended by the muckety mucks. Based on the early photos we've seen Tweeted so far by the best and brightest online media outlets in the DMV, the Nationals have now effectively spared themselves from another embarrassing jersey malfunction/misspelling going forward. They should be okay as long as they don't flip that curly W.
We're fine with the new home whites. Yeah, the design is sort of boring, but much better than the old model.

My kickball team has more interesting home jerseys. This is awful.

Did your anonymous sources with no knowledge of situation mention the Nationals are nearing a naming rights deal with Walgreens for Nationals Park -- hence the need to have the curly W as the brand?

Meh.
Wake me up when Strasburg is wearing one of these.

Say what you will, I loved the inter-locked DC and will miss it. And yes, I openly acknowledge that it looks suspiciously like a copy of the SanFran logo cast in RWB. But, if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, let's briefly remember who is the World Series Champion. I wouldn't mind some of that imitation at all.
I know I am a minority opinion on this, but I want the curly W gone. As one old enough to remember going to the then DC Stadium to see the Senators, the curly W only symbolizes losing and Bob Short. One old-school block W please, or better yet, ditch the W and stick with DC. Uni is not atrocious, but is dull, dull, dull. Let's go Walgreen Natinals!
