For MASN's Bob Carpenter, the Sooner the better?
In an interview published in The Oklahoman (via NewsOK.com) over the weekend, Nationals play-by-play guy (and Tulsa resident) Bob Carpenter talked about life with the Nationals and the possibility of becoming the radio voice of OU football sometime down the road.
Sounds like F.P. Santangelo might want to start looking for a new partner in the MASN booth? Maybe Canseco?
"From a personal standpoint, it would be a privilege and an honor to do (OU)."

Carp's deal with the Nationals/MASN is up at the end of the 2011 season -- and apparently there's a club option for 2012. So what happens once the former St. Louis Cardinals voice Carpenter leaves a team?
"Ironically, the first year I left the Cardinals they won the World Series."

Dear Bob Carpenter, We enjoy your work on MASN, but if you can repeat that trick and help bring a World Series to Washington by leaving, then: Go Sooners!
Befriend the Nationals Enquirer on Facebook. Follow us on Twitter.

This is the same reason I wanted the Nats to hire Buck Showalter. Unfortunately, the cowardly, subsidized Orioles -- the ones who inflicted Dibble on us, got him.

Do you think MASN stands for Mr. Angelos Scam Network.
The programming off-hours is all Baltimore unless you get a John Riggins episode where he also talks about the Ravens.
I can take Crapenter only because his replacement could be worse but if Nats Enquirer guarantees a World Series win if Carpenter leaves then it is worth the sacrifice!

Now that is some serious jammage!
