Bryce Harper Tweeted the above photo of Albert Pujols crushing him with a bear hug (Me and Pujols!) before the Nationals took on the Cardinals on Thursday. Just think: those two could be teammates next year...hugs all around!
And speaking of the Pujols-to-the-Nationals pipe dream, Jordan Zimmermann wonders what the ball looks like to Pujols:
"I just wonder what the ball looks like when it comes in to Pujols, whether he sees a beach ball or what. That's what it seems to be every time I'm out there throwing. I'll have to figure something out."
(Jordan Zimmermann, via Nationals Journal, 3/3/2011)
One simple solution to Jordan Zimmermann's Pujols problem: hand over the keys to the Lerner money vault to Pujols. Sign him up. Easy.
Meanwhile, Yankees fan Harper is apparently scheduled to play against the Yankees on Saturday, which could be one of his final appearances of the spring (1 H, 1 BB, 7 AB) with the big club before getting sent to minor league camp. Nats made the first round of cuts Friday morning.

Luckily Jordan Z. only has to face Albert twice a year plus the Playoffs.
I think giving up Phat Albert's 400th HR last year still ticks him off too.
