In the latest chapter of How the Dibble turns, Stephen Strasburg issued a rebuttal (via Twitter) to Rob Dibble's claims that an email sent by Strasburg’s father to the Lerners led to the un-Dibbling of MASN.
Okay, we can almost believe the first part of the Tweet, about Strasburg's dad not even having the Lerners' email address...but the second part just seems so far-fetched. Can you imagine ANYONE admitting to being a fan of Rob Dibble?

"WAS" a fan.....so "WAS" I. Dibble ruined a good thing. Dibble, don't let the door smack you in your mouth on your way out!

Hey, a lot of folks like Dibble on MASN. He was outspoken but that's his personality. I wish he was still with MASN.

Dibble is an Idiot with a capital "I".

Rob Dibble brought energy to the daily narrative. Yeah, that's right, a warrior's energy. With Sutton and Santangelo continuously dronning on and on, I can't stay awake to see the end of the games. They are collectively so BORING !!! "ZZZZZZ".

I loved dibble. You didn't know what to expect and he was straight shorter and I enjoy that. Maybe he could be too harsh or say things that are inappropriate but who's perfect. I enjoyed his stories and to me it seemed like Bob Carpenter and Dibble had good chemistry. I'm not a fan of FP so far but maybe he'll grow on me. and maybe thats because I still miss Dibble. Maybe he shouldn't have attacked the face of the franchise but he was right pitchers today need to pitch threw a little pain and work things out in game instead get pulled in the 4th or 5th inning. It amazes me how other guys give 6-8 runs over 6 or 7 innings but as soon as the nats give up 3 or 4 the leash gets tight and short. I love the storied of pithcers form 50's and 60's pitching 112-16 inning shutouts. WHere is that guy?

Re: Pitching through pain -- Didn't Dibble's career end early because of arm injuries?

Can't we just agree that Dibble is a meathead who's liable to say any stupid thing and just ignore him already? This is just like his other crock comment about Barry Bonds's Pirate teammates allegedly offering Dibble a steak dinner if he would hit him. Oh really, bigmouth? Name names. Otherwise you're just blowing somke.
I'm glad he isn't around to embarass us anymore. We do fine with that on our own.

I was no fan of Dibble's meathead approach to the game, and his "grunt, snort" approach to broadcasting grated me. YMMV. The biggest problem that I had with Dibble, though, is that if you listened to what he actually said he often contradicted himself. "You've got to go with your best pitch" and "trust your stuff" would be followed moments later by "you can't just keep throwing the same pitch to big league hitters."
I don't miss him at all. I used to have to turn the sound off on the broadcasts - which worked out well, because Charlie and Dave on the radio are better than all the TV foofs!

Dibbs was a personality but also often a meathead - this new guy is a high-pitched chatterbox who is afraid to just shut up and let the game flow - the two presently don't really seem to know what to say or when so they just fill the air with nonsense - I only miss Dibbs because he had a personality and understanding of the medium.
