[Update: The blog is now live at www.natsenquirer.com.]
Dear Readers,
There comes a time in every blogger's life when he/she posts a navel-gazing farewell post, declaring the end of "the blog". Unfortunately, tonight is kind of that night for this here blog, The Nationals Enquirer. Not by choice, mind you.
Sometime in the next few days you will only be able to read us over at www.natsenquirer.com. The blog will now be known as "Nats Enquirer" from here to eternity; this blog should not be confused with (nor was it intended to be) a certain tabloid whose headlines you probably read in the checkout line at the grocery store.
When I started this blog in the winter of 2005/2006, I didn't really know exactly what I wanted it to be, and if you peek back at the archives, that's pretty apparent. But I knew two things for certain: I wanted it to be fun, and I didn't want to get sued -- and I promised myself that if it stopped being fun and/or lawyers came knocking, I'd shut it down and move on.
Well, here we are many years later, and let's just say that after a great deal of soul-searching, we've decided not to shut it down, but to move on. And before you know it, www.natsenquirer.com will be running smoothly as usual and delivering the usual high-quality content you've come to expect, like screengrabs of TV and bad puns in the headlines and YouTube clips of Bryce Harper. Beyond the name and address, it'll be business as usual.
Thanks for reading through the years. Hope you had as much fun here each day as we did. We'll see you on the other side over at NatsEnquirer.com.
(Note: The title of this post was shamelessly lifted from Capitol Punishment, the best Nationals blog there ever was.)
