(Jason Marquis gets a well-deserved hand for a day's work on Sunday. Screen grab of TV/MASN.)
"Jason pitched well, kept us in there, fought out of a few scrapes there and did a great job. Getting the runs early was big. That’s been a little bit of an issue for us, and to get some early really kind of helped us out with some breathing room later."

Nationals 8, Marlins 4: Nats bats wake up, put up a six-spot in the first. That's enough for Jason Marquis.
What a difference a year makes for Marquis. Best news of all is he'll fetch a pretty penny around the trade deadline.
Here's an idea: how about releasing Matt Stairs and just using Jason Marquis as a pinch-hitter? We're half-kidding, of course.
