You know the drill by now: John Lannan has started 13 games in his career against the Phillies since 2007 -- as you'll remember, he broke Chase Utley's hand with a pitch in his first career start and was subsequently ejected in July 2007 -- but he's never won one. Not a one. He's 0-10 with a 6.44 ERA for his career against the Phillies.
And now John Lannan starts this afternoon with a chance to pitch the Nationals to their first series win over the Phillies since...well...how long has it been? Seems like forever.
It is time.

Hard to believe, but we won a series with the Phillies last July-August. I remember watching Zimmerman's walkoff home run (online) in the July 31st game. Of course, I was there the next day when they tragically lost.
