On the same night Jim Riggleman posted one of the strangest Nationals lineups you ever did see, the Nationals took the field wearing perhaps the ugliest uniforms you ever did see. The Padres and Nationals wore 1936 throwbacks: the Nats' '36 Senators unis feature block Ws on the cap and left sleeve, blank jersey front, and long white socks with red and blue striped stirrups.
Next question: if the Nationals go on to win, does this mean Charlie Slowes puts a block or curly W in the book?
