Not to be outdone by that *other* phenom currently working his way through the Nationals' minor league system, Bryce Harper hit a gargantuan walk-off home run Friday night at Metro Bank Park in Harrisburg, delivering the Senators to a 3-2 win over the Trenton Thunder. Video of the mob scene at the plate above.
And so, with Strasburg's dominating second rehab start, Harper's walk-off, and the Nats holding on to beat the Phillies 4-2 thanks to a one-man-gang performance by Livan Hernandez (first time the Nats have beaten Cole Hamels since 2008!?)); actually a pretty nice little Friday. Heck, this just might register as one of the finest nights of the year for the Washington Nationals.
(Meanwhile, here's another angle of Harper's HR and subsequent celebration)

Awesome! The Nats held on so not a bad night for the organization. Nice to see Bryce with a walk off.

You're right. This is one of those rare nights where if you squint your eyes a bit, you can almost see a bright future ahead!!
