And so, Bryce Harper was apparently stuck at an airport on Thursday night and decided to take questions from his Twitter followers. Topics ranged from his love for Robinson Cano, his biggest role model (his Dad), his music of choice before a game (rap & country?), his Superbowl pick ("I'm a cowboys fan, so I don't really care! But the pats bc Brady is a beast!"), favorite movie (The Town), favorite food (anything his Mom cooks), favorite cereal ("love fruity pebble or trix late nights! Mornings I like Cheerios or wheeties fuel!"), and so on.
But most importantly -- yes, Swag will be accompanying Bryce Harper to DC when he arrives in Washington. We're still sort of hoping that means Opening Day -- but we're starting to come around to the wisdom of starting the kid in Syracuse for a few months to delay his inevitable move to the Yankees by one more year. Here's Mike Rizzo, via Adam Kilgore/Washington Post, on how the Harper decision will be handled when the Nats break camp:
“We’re going to bring the best 25 north/ If that includes Harper, it’s Harper. When I believe Harper is ready to play in the big leagues, he’ll be in the big leagues. We’re not going to hinder his progress, but we’re not going to accelerate it to a point where I think it endangers his development and curtails his overall performance.”
(Mike Rizzo, via Nationals Journal, 1/27/2012)
Okay, so if it's *not* Opening Day - we'll go with Tuesday, June 5th, at home against the Mets. The following weekend, of course, the Yankees arrive in DC for a weekend series...

I didn't see Bryce Harper answer questions for any other Blogs. LOL
Why was he at the airport? Is he ready to embark early on Spring Training?
I know CAA top athletes meet every January in Tampa. Does Boras clients do something similar?
