How dare he take Matt Chico's number

Wow. I admit I really did not even consider how much I would enjoy seeing that. I was so used to seeing him in his A's uniform.

Such a nice young man too! While I think his pitching will be a great addition to the team, I think his presence in DC will be an even greater addition to the community.

As for his number, he's just following in the Nats ace tradition: Zimmermann came first and had #27. Then came Strasburg wearing #37. Now is Gio in #47. :)

His press conference was refreshing, too - so well spoken and poised up there, and thoughtful answers to the questions. Ordering myself a #47 jersey tonight!
