"It's such an honor."

While that other phenom was out buying his Mama a house, Stephen Strasburg was having his jersey number (37, of course!) retired by San Diego State on Friday night before the baseball team's season opener against University of Washington. There's Baseball Jesus himself, above, accepting the honor. Moments later, he reportedly rescued several people from a burning building, helped an elderly woman cross a busy street, then saved a kitten from a tree.
Apparently Stras threw out the first pitch, too, to someone who wasn't wearing catcher's gear. This Tweet pretty much captures the spirit of the moment:
See you in Viera, Stras.
