Bryce Harper optioned to Triple-A Syracuse.
He's just not ready yet. See you soon (June?) in Washington, kid.
"He knows how much I love his talent. He is a special player. He needs to go down there and do the same thing he is doing. He doesn't need to change anything for me. He just needs to go play."

For a kid who even hates losing at checkers, this had to be tough news to take. But Harper said all the right things (via Washington Times):
"It sucks, of course, but I'm just going to take it and go down there, work hard, and try to get up here as quick as I can. Davey said that I just need to go down and work on some center field...
...I think we're a contender, even if I'm not on the club. It's going to be a great thing for me to go down, get better and then come back up and hopefully help out the club. I want that. I want to go up there and really help out. We're a great organization a great team and we've got a lot of great guys. We have so many guys that can play different positions. I'm just another guy trying to make it up there on the club." (Bryce Harper, via Washington Times, 3/18/2012)

Hopefully while he's down there they can get him to wear his cap properly.
