Up above, blurry video from Saturday: Eury Perez singled off Justin Verlander in the Nats split squad game against the Tigers. So far, so good for Perez with the bat (6-12 on the spring, 0-2 day Sunday rained out); apparently he's taking his invite to big league camp seriously. See you patrolling CF at Nationals Park in 2013, kid?
"I know they need a starting center fielder and I want to show them that I have the ability to do that. Even if I don't get it this year, I want them to know about me and know that I can do what they need. I'm working hard to show them that."
(Eury Perez, via Nationals.com, 3/11/2012)

Jake Westbrook did strike him out twice today and since the game was rained out, those stats disappear which supports your 6 for 14.
Depending on how Eury does in AA this year, we could see him as a September callup.

Corrected the above -- still batting .500!

Eury Perez is back on the radar.

I like his stroke in both of those hits. Not too much going on, and the double was such a quick swing. Seems like he could be the contact lead-off guy that the Nats need.
