In the pantheon of boring spring training baseball headlines, we have a new contender for greatest boring spring training baseball headline ever. Has the bar really been lowered to such an extent for Adam LaRoche that the simple act of throwing a baseball warrants a headline (see image, above)? Apparently there's more to it than that. This particular throw was no simple throw, but was a major test, even for a soft throw:
"I've got a little more in the tank than that. That was just, 'Get it there in time.' If I need to rush something or throw across to third, I've got a little more than that. ...The way it's progressing, I think two weeks from now it'll be even better. I'm fine with this if that's the way it is, but I think it's going to get better."

Oh, also, LaRoche's foot is still hurting him:
"We have it wrapped up pretty tight. I’m really hoping I don’t have to do this [wrapping the foot] forever. … But it’s good enough to play right now. … It’s not great turning, it’s not great running the bases yet, but a lot better than it was a week ago."
