Tough day if you're Bryce Harper: he whiffed in his first AB against his boy CC Sabathia ("Hopefully I can get him next time"), his Nationals lost to his Yankees, and his Duke Blue Devils got upset by 15 seed Lehigh. All he needs now is for Kobe and the Lakers to lose and Tony Romo to break his leg or something to complete, like, the worst Friday in his life. Ever. Too bad he's no longer on Twitter to vent about it. (Heck, his older brother Bryan nearly quit Twitter on Friday night over the Duke loss, but thought better of it.)
"Pretty much every guy is throwing me offspeed," he said with a laugh. "I guess I need to learn how to hit a curveball and a changeup."
"They’re kind of pitching him tough," agreed Johnson. "Spring training, 3-2 breaking balls? Not really giving him much to hit with the fastball. All that stuff you’ve been writing about him, maybe the pitchers' have been reading it."
Indeed, better learn how to hit the offspeed stuff...
