There's poor John Lannan being introduced to the crowd at Alliance Bank Stadium in Syracuse before the AAA Chiefs home opener (in 1978 Chiefs throwback jersey) this afternoon, right around the same time his former teammates were being introduced at Wrigley. You can only wonder what was running through Lannan's head as he hopped up the dugout steps to take his place along the third base line with his new teammates...

I feel sorry for the guy. In 2010 he deserved to be sent to AAA. He came to camp in 2011 and looked like a new pitcher and had a really solid 2011. I still believe he is a #4 or #5 pitcher on this team and a #3 on many teams if you use ERA to grade your pitcher.

I'm with Andrew. He's pitched some good games (including a couple of complete-game shutouts) and would make a good addition in the number 4 or 5 spot.

I'll never be sorry for a guy who earn $ 5 M in a single year. Never, as kind the guy could be.
I mean, who love sports but when is our sense of reality, our sense of the big picture?
