Hasn't been the best of times since Bryce Harper cut off his skullet, eh? Friday night: 0-5, smacks himself in the eye with his bat. Saturday: 0-4, finishes his day by striking out on three pitches against Aroldis Chapman. Then on Sunday, Harper lost a Jay Bruce fly ball in the twlight/mist/clouds/sky in the 8th inning (video here). Ball lands ~15 feet behind him on the warning track. 6-3 game became 6-5, setting the stage for Henry Rodriguez in the ninth.
Here's Harper discussing the strange play after the game, via MASN:
"Tough sky. When it got above the seats you can't really see. I saw Votto's ball pretty well because it was below the seats. But when you've got hazy sky like that it's pretty tough to read a ball off the bat. I had no clue. I had no idea. It happened. It sucks that it happened, but I had no clue where it was, and there was nothing I could do about it."

The good news is, Harper collected two hits on Sunday...
