Yankees 4, Nationals 1: Bronx Cheer. If this weekend's series was a measuring stick, then the Yankees beat the Nats over the head with the damn thing. Swept.
Michael Morse & Ryan Zimmerman go a combined 0-9 on Sunday; 5-27 for the weekend.
"I want us to be aggressive, and sometimes the middle of the order is too passive. We’re not striking any fear in the opposing pitcher. They’re having it too easy with us. And those guys need to get going. They’re certainly talented enough to get going. Whatever we’ve got to do to get it going, the whole season’s in front of us."

Bryce Harper bounces back from 0-7, 5 K nightmare on Saturday with 2-4, 0 K effort Sunday.
Silver lining: can't blame Sunday on Brad Lidge, or Davey Johnson's insistance on pitching Lidge (see results of games 1 & 2). The Embedded Phillie, designated for assignment before the series finale.
Silver lining II: The rest of the NL East lost, too. Nats still lead division by four games.

I don't understand why Johnson doesn't make any changes to have Zimmerman and Morse batting a little lower in the order. Desmond should be batting before Zim and Beast. In the case of Zim, this has gone on for way too long.
