Marlins 5, Nationals 2 (Game 2): Death, taxes, and Josh Johnson beating the Nats. Bad sixth dooms Gio.
Hey, it was singles night at Nationals Park for the Marlins (9 singles, 11 hits)...and nearly everybody scored (well, 5 did)! Gio Gonzalez pitched good enough to win, but Josh Johnson pitched even better than good enough to win.
Before Game 2, Gio was seen on TV pretending to high-five non-existent teammates in the dugout...seems oddly fitting:
