And so, Michael Morse got pulled from Monday's game in the fourth inning with "right-thumb soreness". Nothing to do with pretending to catch a fly ball to end the top of the fourth inning, right? Morse and Davey Johnson apparently had a spirited discussion in the dugout when Morse returned to the dugout. See screencaps, of "the catch" above. Here's Morse, on why he got pulled:
"I don't know. I have no clue. Whatever he says....No, my hand feels fine. My hand feels good."

Hmmm...Here's Davey:
"Morse was complaining about his thumb/hand, where he got hit, was acting up. I knew their pitcher was going to pound him in, and I didn't want to aggravate it worse. He didn't want to come out. I just said: 'You're coming out.' I don't need you aggravating [it]."

Or more like, "Too much [BLEEP]ing around?"

LMAO, so was Davey pissed that Morse was mocking the Chosen One for catching a fly bal that should have been his!?

I don't think Davey benched Morse for the phantom catch. That's not the first time I've seen him do it.
