So MLB.com's Bill Ladson checked in with Davey Johnson on the Rafael Soriano signing, which went down while Davey was on vacation in Africa. Sounds like Davey was as surprised by the move as everyone else, and despite Mike Rizzo essentially proclaiming Soriano as the Nats closer, Davey told Ladson he'd make the call on who closes:
"Things work out. I know Clip wanted to close for a long time, and he got his chance and he did great. Storen, he had 43 saves his first year as a closer. Now, Soriano. I'll have that discussion with them. It will sort itself out. I [will] go with the guy I think is best, but I think they are all great. That's why it's going to be a fun year."

Maybe public comments like that are an attempt to soothe Storen's bruised ego, after Rizzo kicked it while it was down? *shrug* Hopefully we're not already heading towards another one of those "YOU COME DOWN AND MANAGE THE TEAM!" things between Rizzo and Davey.
