"He just kind of ran out of gas. ... He was great. Made pitches ...kept us right in there." (Davey Johnson on Ross Ohlendorf, via MASN/Postgame presser, 8/27/2013)
Nationals 2, Marlins 1: Ross Ohlendorf solid for for five+ despite scaring the hell out of Davey by throwing his fastball ~10 MPH slower in the 6th before giving up HR to Christian Yelic. Ross's line: (5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 HR, 78 pitches. Fastball topped out at 85 in the 6th). Bullpen (Roark, Storen, Clippard, Soriano) doesn't blow it.
Just 7 back of the Reds for final WC spot...
Meanwhile, Davey worried about Ross running out of gas, likely will swap Roark and Ross in rotation/bullpen?
To sum it up, Ohlendorf allowed 1 run over 5-plus tonight, his ERA dropped to 2.49 & he might've been bumped from the rotation. Tough crowd.

Davey indicated tonight that Tanner Roark may start in 5 days and Ohlendorf may head back to the bullpen. Said he'd decide tomorrow.
