They're getting the band back together!
Well, not really. But the Nationals signed Jamey Carroll, a member of the original 2005 Nats, to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training.
The 40 year old Carroll will compete with Danny Espinosa for a utility infielder job, which, when you put it like that somehow makes Espinosa's career nosedive that much more striking. We feel for Danny.
Via Nationals Journal: the other 2005 Nationals still in the majors: Marlon Byrd, Endy Chavez, Jon Rauch, Luis Ayala and Ryan Zimmerman.
