So Davey Johnson was the keynote speaker at the Syracuse Chiefs Hot Stove Dinner on Friday night in Syracuse. Thankfully, an older and wiser Davey (he turned 71 on Jan. 30) didn't burden the Nats' Triple-A affiliate with the crushing expectations of "World Series or Bust":
"I'm not saying it's Governors' Cup or bust. ...but it's there. The talent is there. I wouldn't have said that a few years ago when Randy Knorr was the manager here. I remember watching a game with the team he had and saying to him, 'Good luck, pal.' But things have come along. I love what the Washington Nationals have done with their minor-league system."
