A strange sight in the sixth inning of yesterday's Nats-Tigers Spring Training game: After 1,110 regular season games at third base for the Nationals in nine years (and 1 at SS in 2005), there was Ryan Zimmerman on the other side of the diamond, with a first baseman's mitt. Probably a good idea for Nats fans to start getting used to the sight.
"I could go play there right now if I needed to...I wouldn’t be as confident as I wanted to be but I feel like I could go do that if I needed to. I’d like to get a few more games just to feel comfortable. Maybe not whole games, but just to get over there and get a little bit more comfortable. But if it was the regular season right now and they needed me to play there I could do it."
