And so, the Battle of the Beltways resumes tonight on the field at Nationals Park with a makeup game for that July 8 rainout.
Meanwhile, hot on the heels of news that the Nats-Orioles/Lerner vs. Angelos MASN rights fees battle is getting increasingly contentious, and Buck Showalter's idiotic comments last month about Peter Angelos being kind enough to allow baseball to return to Washington, Angelos himself trolled Nats fans during Saturday night's Nats-Phillies broadcast on MASN by causing technical difficulties:

OK, we're *almost* positive Angelos didn't purposely cause technical difficulties himself during the broadcast (although we always privately suspected he was behind the great MASN Blue/Smurf Fail of 2012), but that wasn't how Twitter viewed this latest and greatest #MASNFail, described here on the Baltimore Sun's Sports Blitz blog:
During a second-inning at-bat by Washington Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper, the MASN broadcast flashed a "phone busy signal" and cut to commercial. In all, at least 20 ran, nonstop, during a live game.
When the broadcast returned, there was no score bug. The camera angle pointed away from home plate. The audio? Philadelphia Phillies broadcasters.
MASN acknowledged the technical difficulties but did not identify the cause. Which led some Nationals fans to wonder about the whereabouts of the network's majority owner.
On second though, it was totally Angelos:

Peter Angelos is forcing me to listening to the #Phillies broadcast on MASN, thanks Pete!!!— Nick Palastro (@Palastro24) August 2, 2014
Thanks for nothing Peter Angelos. MASN sucks. #Nats— Jason Harlow (@imjustlikemusiq) August 2, 2014
MASN completely cuts out and subjects us to 20 straight commercials (and counting). I'm pretty sure this is idiot Peter Angelos's fault.— Becca H (@BeccaH_JR) August 2, 2014
Peter Angelos: "Listen, I'm tired of the Nats, let's just play ads during their MASN games from now on. YOLO."— Chris Hannas (@cjhannas) August 2, 2014
Is Peter Angelos behind this MASN Nats game outage? Reallll mature, Angelos.— Rachele Byrne (@RacheleByrne) August 2, 2014

Is Angelos behind this Nats MASN outage? O's game is still on. Just sayin'— Barbara Van Dyke (@momsaterp) August 3, 2014
