And so, the Battle of the Beltways 2014 was lost long before the Orioles beat the Nats 7-3 last night to take the season series 3-1, thanks to a missing "O".
Oh, sure, it's just a Nats fan with a homemade sign with a Natinals logo on it Tweeted out by the official Twitter of the Orioles before last night's game. This is big deal, really, just dredging up memories from the halcyon days of 2009.
The Natinals sign was almost more concerning than Matt Williams' mismanagment of the game in innings 6-8 -- starting by letting Tanner Roark hit with two men on with two outs in the sixth in a one-run game ("He almost got a hit," said Williams of Roark).
Maybe that prick Peter Angelos doctored the image himself using Photoshop in yet another attempt to troll Nats fans? Also worth noting: the Orioles postgame show on MASN last night misspelled "Washington" as "Washtington" (via DC Sports Bog):
