"I was just slipping a little bit, but there are going to be games like that. I was on the mound like that in college. I wasn't able to make the adjustments that I needed to do. ...I wish I could have handled it a little bit better. It kind of got me in a little funk."

HR, BB, BB, BB, BB, BB?
Nationals 9, Indians 4: Let's chalk up a rough day for Baseball Jesus to mound issues.
Only Stephen Strasburg can register a 2 hit, 1 run, 8 strikeout performance and be referenced in the same sentence as "rough day"? Maybe "laborious day" would be more appropriate? He didn't make it look nearly as easy as he did on Strasmas Day, but, like Capitol Punishment says, if that's the worst Strasburg we'll get...
Again, we'll blame it on the mound: here's hoping grounds crews around the NL didn't notice that it helps immensely if you dig a hole roughly where Strasburg's right foot lands at the end of his stride. We blame Manny Acta and Austin Kearns for the mound issues, actually.
And on this day: Storen is the stopper. Bails out Jeezus after a bases loaded jam in the sixth.
Miguel Batista made a decent attempt at blowing the win in the 9th, but Tyler Clippard put an end to that.
Onward to Detroit.

Rough day? He struck out 8 and walked 5. And got the win. Granted, if Storen hadnt bailed him out, it wouldve been uglier, but there wasn't too much you can complain about here. He had a 1-hitter going through most of the game (even if it was a HR). Good outing for him.
