(Seriously, Todd? Screen grab of TV/MASN)
Todd Coffey entered Saturday night's Nats-Padres game trying to hold a 1-run lead for John Lannan. And he did just that. Yet, while every other player on the field seemed to be doing OK in the socks and pants department on throwback uniform night in San Diego, something apparently went horribly wrong with Todd Coffey's pants.
"Todd Coffey's capri pants!" exclaimed Big League Stew's Dave Brown on Twitter.
"Coffey's pants are floods," Tweeted Jayson Werth's Beard.
Etc., etc.
But seriously, Todd. What happened to your pants?
Nationals 2, Padres 1: Todd Coffey's pants prove to be a non-issue. John Lannan gets just enough help from the offense, and a big lift from the bullpen.

He pitched great relief in the 7th inning is what happened.
