(There's a glimpse of the Jayson Werth bobblehead being given away by the Bowie Baysox on July 25. Sceen grab via Baysox official website.)
Looks like July is now officially Jayson Werth Bobblehead Giveaway Month. Earlier this week, DC Sports Bog chronicled the upcoming Frederick Keys and Washington Nationals versions(sideburns and goatee, respectively). On Monday July 25, the Bowie Baysox will be having their own Jayson Werth Bobblehead Giveaway night, coinciding with a visit from Bryce Harper and the Harrisburg Senators -- the first game of what the Baysox are promoting in a "Futures of the Beltway Series Ticket Package". Based on the ad on the Baysox website, this Werth has a full beard, and appears in catchers gear. From the Baysox site:
Before Jason Werth established himself as a Major League star, he was a catcher for the Baysox. The team will honor its former backstop with a bobblehead. The first 1,000 fans ages three and up receive the bobbling rendition of the former Bowie backstop.
Okay, so we understand the catcher's gear. But the beard? Shouldn't it look more like this (via minorleaguebaseball.com):
