Shocking. Just simply shocking news: Wilson Ramos reportedly kidnapped in Venezuela?
From Amanda Comak/Washington Times:
Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos was kidnapped from his home in Valencia, Venezuela Wednesday afternoon, his Venezuelan Winter League team, Tigres de Aragua, has confirmed.
The situation, first reported by several Venezuelan outlets via Twitter Wednesday evening, is developing. A report in El Nacional said that Ramos was kidnapped by four gunmen near his home in Valencia and his family had not yet hear from the kidnappers. They had only contacted police.

I pray that he gets released soon, unharmed. Hopefully he and the other Nats from Venezuela would best be served by moving to the DC Area year around, with their families.

I for one am looking forward to the prolonged standing O for his first at bat at Nats park next season.
