Nationals trade four prospects (Brad Peacock, Tommy Milone, A.J. Cole and Derek Norris) for Gio Gonzalez.
What's not to love about this rotation: Gio, Stras, Zimm, Wang, Lannan?
Way to go, Mike Rizzo! (no, not for DeRosa)
Holy crap, Mike Rizzo finally DID something this offseason! Way to go, Rizzo!

Wow, for the first time ever the Nats actually have an MLB quality rotation. It's going to take some time to adjust to this new reality. :)

Rizzo gave up four top 10 prospects, easily trumping the package the Jays got for Halladay, for a Jonathan Sanchez clone who is a #3 starter at best. What a terrible terrible trade.

But - Halladay was a pending FA, Gonzo under team control for 4 more years. It matters. I think, in today's market, the trade is a push. Good for both. We won't know who "wins" for 3-4 more years.

They had an MLB-quality rotation last year. They have an NL East-quality rotation now. Big step up. Oh, and 4 years, NOT $55MM.
